    shipping from cali is roughly 1100ish?

    There used to be a ferry service to drive from oahu to maui, but it was closed down. The only other way is on a inter-island barge.

Zero offroad experience but looking forward to changing that and having some fun driving and modding.     I know a couple of guys at work use em to ship their racecars to the tracks on the other islands since the track here closed...so it's pretty common, but I wouldn't know how expensive it is.

    The ferry service was about $150 round trip and pretty competetive at the time.

    I'm planning to split mine, but just behind the grille. Don't want to extend the wires to reach the engine bay. Behind the grille would be nice so you wouldn't have to leave the hood open/cracked while you have your remote plugged in. Behind the grille you can pop the hood, feed remote cable through the grille, then shut the hood.
    Theoretically anyway :D
