The world is big...and I want to have a good look at it...before it gets dark - John Muir
I heard on other forums that HPD was lurking and ticketed and towed some people that were on their way to attend this event. LOL - stupid stuff I tell you.
Kinda like entrapment if you know what I mean.

My friend drove his 55 Chevy to the Island Greaser event at Aloha Tower and he saw a bunch of lifted trucks, JDM's, and Euro guys pulled over on the H1 viaduct before NEX cutoff. Oh well, guess I be keeping my truck pretty stock.

Lol, most of the trucks here can't hold a candle to what I used to see in Texas when it comes to unsafe vehicles. They didn't have safety check when I lived there.

Don't get me started on Louisiana :D

People have been "petitioning" to get rid of recon for years. As far as I know there have been no changes to recon requirements. There is no need for reciepts for installation of suspension parts thats for sure. Unless he was talking about the Alignment paper showing you got an alignment within factory specs, which you need done within 30 days of your recon appointment.

If anyone has questions call the recon office directly. 808-733-2542
They have always been more than happy to help answer any questions.

Too many rumors on forums online, usually started by some kid with some ghetto ass busted car, missing crutial parts and getting upset about failing.

Seriously, when I went to get recon for my TL, the guy in front of me had no interior, dark 5% tint and "hellaflush" wheels with ruined fenders. Bet he went home and posted about how unfair the "bounce" test was, neglecting to talk about the true condition of his car.

I agree that its a pain to get a sticker to get another sticker but hey at least we dont have smog here and really, its not THAT hard to get :D

    Aloha

    Oh boy...
anyone else notice how shitty our roads are...... what the hell is all this money going to??? sure isnt coming back to the community. fucking bullshit ----- THATS my arguement against recon, vehicle registration *(the average price tag is above $300 for anyone with a vehicle over 5000 lbs i think) as well as any bullshit tax. Our state goverment doesn't suck because we are all broke.... infact i think hawaii has one of the lowest unemployment levels in the country..... it sucks because THOSE BASTARDS down at city hall are a bunch of cock suckers.... and im one of the guys who votes against all those fuckers every year. too bad voting is just a joke

ok im done with my rant... :D back to work :p

Hey guys, don't wanna change the subject but I noticed there were some air force guys on this thread. Seriously considering enlisting as an airman if I can qualify. Planning to see a recruiter on Friday. Just had a quick question. It's regarding my tattoo on my chest. It's lettering that is just below my collar bone by the dip. On the phone the the recruiter said it shouldn't show in Airforce blue uniforms? I don't think it would since it doesn't with my v necks but not too sure. What so u guys think? And would this disqualify me if it did? Thanks again. Stressing about this. Don't wanna be ineligible because of a stupid tatt.

As long as its non offensive you should be alright. Air force is a little lenient with that stuff. Luka, flatfeet, and myself are in that air force as far as I've met on here so far

If you cant see it with a V-Neck, you should be OK.

Why active duty? Have you considered the Hawaii Air National Guard? Yes its part time one weekend a month, two weeks a year but you stay in Hawaii. Let me know if you need any info on joining the guard, And if you have any active duty questions I can help out I was 4 years active before joining the guard. Also, let me know if you ever want to check out the base and take a look at the aircraft.
