Hi all. I'm visiting from Texas at the hale koa. I wanted to say what's up to all my taco brothers here in this beautiful island. Me and my brother might rent a jeep wrangler or something as I could not bring my taco with me. I was wondering if anyone could tell me about good trails both hiking and wheeling. Also any good local places to eat and any other cool things. Best wishes everyone.

The only place you'd be able to go off pavement is kaena point, on the north western side of the island. I'd also suggest a drive up and around the north shore, and maybe giovanni's or romi's shrimp stands in Kahuku.

Denser air at night. You could put a larger crank shaft pulley.

For hiking, any of the trails here are really nice. St. Louis heights and kuliouou are my favorite. We are very limited here for places to legally wheel :(

Lots of great food here too. Not sure if you want fine dining or local comfort food, but most of the restaurants in Waikiki are good, but expensive. Mostly pacific rim/fusion. Top of Waikiki has really great food with an awesome view. If you want Hawaiian, Ono Hawaiian Food is in kapahulu right outside of Waikiki.

Also forgot to mention that you can park near the gate at the end, and walk out to the point, it is a conservation area for nesting seabirds, but it s a nice walk and sometimes you can see some Hawaiian monk seals lying on the beach down there. Just don't get too close to them and you'll be fine. Bring water and sunscreen.

Is that with the OEM sensors? Or did you install wide-band O2 sensors?

And shoes. It may sound crazy but a lot of people hike that in slippers.

Check out this thread for food.. http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/hawaii/277984-oahu-grindz-test-your-taste-buds.html

As far as hikes.., the koko head stairs has a pretty killer view. Personally, that and Wiliwilinui Ridge have killer views.. Wiliwilinui ridge starts off as a jeep road that we would ride our mountain bikes on. The road then ends and starts the hike... when you get to the end, you are basically standing on top overlooking the Waimanalo area. http://hawaiitrails.ehawaii.gov/trail.php?TrailID=OA+15+008
