Stock air filter? IIRC, my K&N replacement was about $25 from O'riley. Might wanna go that route, unless you don't wanna deal with washing and oiling the filter

Yup stock filter. I was thinking about grabbing the afe pro dry filter, but I've read that the stock filter filters better than after market ones.

True......stock and foam filters , filter better than say, K&N.
But K&N's flow more air, hence than being a better performing on-road filter.
They do however SUCK dirt at Peacock flats . Enough that you'll have to clean your mass air sensor after just 1 trip to Peacock flats.

Crap.. got a guy on CL Selling an 06 DCLB.. would definitely make me happy to buy swap parts and sell my truck, got ssome $$$ I can float and eat the interest for a 2 month or so turn around, but seeing as my truck (with stock parts) could fetch about 18-5, the only way it makes sense (to me and my wife) is if I could steal it away for 21... he wants 25-5 obo....dreams...

but then again, ad long as I can make it to P-flats, and possibly get a pull (if needed) I'm happy with the rig I've built (and keep building)....

Should just always clean the MAF when you clean the filter.

So tempting.. I was KBB'ing my truck thinking about ordering a 4x4 with a stick like I always wanted.. My truck stock comes out to 22,800 KBB which isn't bad since I paid 24, but I should have traded it in a few years ago when the KBB was 26 lol

could always talk him down too, 25k for a ~8yr old truck is asking a little much. could pretty much buy a new truck for a little more. if you showed up with a check/cash for 20k he/she might consider it if he/she is serious about selling.
