If I was in TX last summer for a couple of weeks longer, I would have qualified for PCS orders and would have come back with one.

some day i'll get one, and a .40 sig p226, and a glock 17 and an AR set up for 7.62 shells

5.56 are cute, but the difference in kickback shooting up is hardly noticeable. AK-47's are for masochists, dunno how anyone willingly wants to fuck up their shoulder.

what blows my mind is the M1 garand

that thing's heavy AF, has a solid steel buttplate, and just enough kick to bruise after a few clips

and our guys carried that thing through europe and the pacific

If you get a .40 sig, why not a glock 22? Even though 9mm is the most common, the police use .40 so finding .40 won't be as bad as .45. And with two .40's the. You don't have to buy a bajillion boxes of two different caliber.

I always wanted an M1, don't care how hard it kicks. Always admired the the old school style.

 

We use the M1 for Military Funeral Honors, I <3 it

even firing blanks, it does jam quite often, but it clears easy.

last time I checked, the cost was about the same but 5.56 was/is always out of stock or only available in limited amounts.

I like to have a healthy variety

and I don't think i'll fire .45 handguns anymore. hurts my wrists after 2 clips...no bueno.

I can shoot .40 fo dayz.

whoa there sir, the garand is super dependable, the reason it jammed is because theres barely enough gas pressure with a blank to fully operate the action after a shot. you throw a 150gr in the chamber and shell pur like a kitten. oh and those ceremonial guns probably have 1,000,000,000,000,000 rounds through them

 

true, I'd could also be that when the clip is loaded, the rounds arn't seated just right. I've never fired a live one through it, but i've probably contributed about 1,000+ cycles of the charging handle and dry firing

I was at my favorite gun store today and they had 1000 rnd cases of Federal 5.56 for $375. Had at least 50 cases in stock. They said they just keep getting it in!

I've got to sell some more stuff on Craig's then I'm gonna get a case or two.

He won the primary, still have time to do it right!

Could always get one of those bullet buttons if worst comes to worst.
