Damn guys, looks like it was the most 2wd friend trip so far! Sand I missed it :(

On the plus side I found 4 matching gear ratio front diffs for my truck.. $220 shipped to the continental, so I would have to have it forwarded. I'm tempted!!

No dude. It was bad up there. There were a few sharp steep slippery hairpins that I was slipping and bouncing around in 4lo with ATRAC on. Getting to the campsite tho, I was in rwd the whole time until we hit the last bypass before the campsite. I'll post some go pro footage later.

Unless you were talking about kaena point?

Yep, and that big hill with all the pics of trucks coming down, you gotta climb a pretty steep hill just to get to the top of it.

My ATRAC is always on, so I won't forget. It only activates in 4lo.

    Do it Nate!

That's the kind of stuff I like. When its technical. especially when we needed to get around the boulder. I used my high lights so I could see through the brush so my headlight doesn't get taken out by a sticking out rock or something while trying to avoid that body damaging boulder.

Lets do it! We need to start planning the next one early so we can take over the campsite again. That way we don't have to sleep next to some weirdos who stay up late talking very loud about their farts...

I just don't like to slip the tires at all. Don't want to kick dirt and rocks at the guy behind me. Plus I don't want to tear up the trails.

The earliest you can reserve a site is one month in advance. So we gotta pick a date, and then all shoot for a campsite at midnight one month before the chosen date.

So was it dusty slippery? Or muddy slippery? I can usually handle dusty slippery, but I stay away from muddy with 2WD :p

Hey my Aunty said her Goodyear location is having a today only special buy 3 get 1 free day. She's in Waipahu Goodyear just call and ask for Buckles or let me know but I may not get on it right away. If you call let her know you're friends of mine and maybe she'll hook up the install or something. Don't know for sure.
