Back to the Kaena point ordeal. KHON has put up more info on what's going on. It says that DLNR will be issuing permits that will be good for a year that grants access to go into Kaena pt. The 2 days that permits will be issued will be on the 20th and 22nd. On the 22nd there will be 2 places where you van apply for a permit. Don't know if every vehicle needs a permit to gain access, but it sounds like it does. Check out KHON's site for more info.

Edit* maybe we can go on Saturday morning at Waialua elementary to apply for the permits, then head down to Kaena pt.? Just throwing it out there if anyone was interested.

I guess I'll go Mililani this Saturday and get a permit.

 

I'll be in Vegas this weekend.. Hope not all vehicles allowed in requires a permit.

So... Looks like they just want people on the main road and some access roads to get to the water. A bunch of the area where people were having "fun" the last time I was there looks to be gone.. That hill that Ratha was going up...gone...
