Got home after work around 1900. My roommate was kind enough to bring the box inside. I jumped for joy, changed and installed. :D Now the pup will have more wiggle room in the cab this go around.

For all you guys that passed your safety checks with LEDs in the turn signals.. Lucky you.. Went to get my safety today, failed because of some LEDs out in the camper top middle light and the jumperLEDs in my DTRL/turn signal locations. Changed both of those out and passed. Since the camper middle light is LEDs, I needed to change out the whole bar. $80 later, and stripping wires with my teeth in a parking lot, and I was good to go. Now to just swap my parking lights back to the LEDs and I'm good till next year.

I would probably leave the old school lights if I didn't have to worry about burning my headlights again.

I passed last year with them, but because of tge new bumper and stuff, I didn't want to say, "what the hell, you guys passed my last year".

A couple guys here pass no problem. Guess just depends where you go..

I actually think the incandescent bulbs are brighter than my jumperLEDs, but I was seriously thinking of doing some VLEDs.

Hmmm...would ask them to show me the state reg on light bulbs. LED's are mainstream these days in almost all new cars...

What I was told (and I even called another Safety Check place) is that if your vehicle came with them stock, then fine.. If they didn't, then can't have. (other than Nate cause his headlights are listed on his recon papers...bum:D)

Yea.. No problems with my bumper or even the license plate on my bumper.. didn't even ask about the dually fogs. Also didn't give me any problem about my rear auxiliary SRQs, although mine are on a 3-way switch, so they didn't even come on when asked to put reverse lights on.

most inspectors wont pass blueish LED tag lights. that was the biggest problem with LEDS when it first came out. since then they just follow the DOT/CITY instructions to fail blue tinted bulbs.

but then again they are the same idiots that told me 5100 shocks do not require recon

Brooks...are they good on the LED's there at GY?

I just pulled this off the state web site and it makes absolutely no mention of LED's or their use. It only talks about the correct color of each light. I suggest anyone concerned print this out and take it with them when they are inspected. Sometimes I think the inspectors are making up their own rules with this shit.
