    Wife and I coming for Memorial Day weekend. Looking for lodging East or North if you guys know of a place close to the water that would be cool. We have left some voice mails. We land Saturday and fly out Monday.

    We'll def make a point to check out North Shore Grinds while we're there.

    If you know of a place on a great beach away from Waikiki on the west side that would be OK too, gotta get the wife onto sand and into warm water.

    On the North Shore I would stay at Turtle Bay. On the West side, I would stay at Ihilani or the Disney Hotel at Ko'Olina.

    ^^^^^ We live here and I still take my family to Aulani (Disney Hotel) for staycations. It's not like Disneyland at all. It's more for adults but with a water park and a few characters walking around for the kids. And the lagoons at Aulani, which is beach access but shielded from the waves, is easy to access if you're staying there. You can always drive to the North Shore for the whole experience...it's a must to visit one of the many shrimp trucks out there! BTW North Shore Grinds isn't on the North Shore!
