They broke into my wife's car and in her center console was the key to my car. So they got the change out there and the key to my truck. I normally pull them into the garage but was doing some things in the garage last until about 11 and decided to leave them in the driveway

It could be random. Ive heard many stories of them finding the key because it happened to be wherever they found it(in the house, in a bag in the car, on a hide a key)..in this instance in his friends car.
Our van was broken into long time ago on oahu, they found the house key and luckily dogs went off. my grandmas car was stolen with a key they found in her glove compartment and found without tires down mayor wright housing. my friends civic got stolen after they took his bag, luckily they were only joyriding and not on a mish to strip it. dont be mad, just keep your spares on you or in a very good place.

that sucks though id never wanna come out to find my truck gone. truck could be anywhere on island. good luck finding it.

Thanks everyone for the support. Yes this shit pisses me off but I am trying to look at the bright side I am safe not hurt and no one put a gun to my head to take it. I was able to the garage door openers reset. However being a legal gun owner If they did decide to come into the garage they could meet good my good friends Smith, Wesson & Glock :). I worked hard for the truck and the upgrades. When I was in my twenties there were always things that came before having a nice truck and fixing it up. Over the the last few years as the kids are growing up I reach that point in my life I didn't feel guilty about putting on upgrades to my truck that I really enjoyed driving. OH well I guess I have to start looking for a used one

    Cheers

Been hearing a lot of cars being stolen lately. Fkn chronics. Been Thinking of spening money on an aftermarket alarm instead of a lift.

I hate chronics dude... Don't work, do drugs, and steal so you can do drugs and not work... Pieces of shit! If you need help with an alarm i got you! Go to sonic electronics and buy anything you want as long as its a Clifford, DEI, Python, or Viper... They are actually all the same company but they are the best imo.. I have all shop manuals for all year Toyotas and have installed my own alarms in all my own vehicles... I would much prefer doing my own because I don't trust alarm shops doing my installs... They use crimps and vampire taps which are a no no for longevity...

If you buy one from sonic you'll get a good price and they sell over the counter... If you try to buy locally they hike the price up and claim they aren't supposed to even sell over the counter but if they do its pricey... I been down that road

they dont work, do drugs, they steal so I can do drugs and not work. I know what you mean though, they steal so they can do drugs and not work, except the work they are doing is ripping people off and finding out their next way to get the drugs.

Not all chronics are on drugs though. And not all druggies are rippers.

i stayed up almost a month long waiting for someone to show up and they never did. I still worked 4 days a week and supported my habit. *shrugs*

fuck that sucks! I'll keep an eye out. also, just a heads up for all you Kapolei/Makakilo folks... there's a FB page called "Stolen Stuff Hawaii" (I think), and several people reported a younger looking chronic couple driving a black Ford Escape scoping out the neighborhoods, primarily the East Kapolei Hawaiian homes and Kaupea. with all the hot weather, I guess they've been jumping in people's open garages and stealing shit, so they're trying to catch them in the act.

that was me. hahaha. no idea who the owner is, but still got paper plates as of early this week, with a nice giant key mark on the tailgate.

But technically speaking... Doesnt one HAVE to use drugs to be considered a chronic?
