Has anyone tried the HaulGauge OBD-11 Connector that measures gross combined weight, tongue weight, pin weight and payload?

Hmm I don't konw how this could work.. There are no scales built into a cars diagnostic network.

according to the video it has to do with torque slippage and accelerometer

I read the reviews and according to some people that have checked versus scales it is pretty accurate. I t also notes there have been some issues with accurate weight and Toyota's however.

How would that work with a manual trans? Is that doable by an aftermarket reader or just factory?

Personally I think I would prefer a stand alone over a builtin gauge. This type has been around for ever. etrailer.com/Tools/Sherline/5780.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIsMzCkJzh4AIVrrSzCh1S2wRsEAAYASAAEgIuw_D_BwE

I just watched a independent review of the Haul gauge that was compared to CAT scale weights on two different trailers . Both trailer comparisons were within 100-200 lbs on total weight . I also saw another video in regards to this product being at SEMA last fall ...

If this is as accurate as the review it would make things a lot easier to check on a trip basis to make sure weights are within limits .

I bought one to give a try , I had emailed Haul gauge and asked about the issue with Toyota’s . They said it only had to do with total weight and that they had a update for app coming out in next few weeks to fix it . It has been tested and is accurate . They said all other weights such as pin and weight distribution and payload were accurate and not a issue . I will let you know what I think once I get it and can dig my camper out of the snow.
