OBD Dongle Suggestion for Techstream

What OBD connector are folks using for Techstream on 3rd gens? I have found that my orange one from vFTuner doesn't work (unless I'm doing something wrong).

Tried searching but didn't find much. Seems like the one from vF used to work but doeesn't anymore.

 

Did you try changing the vim selection inside techstream setting?

I use a mongoose but they are pricey.

I had an Amazon special before but it didn’t work.

 

Complete TS noob so probably not. I'll try that today when I get home and see how it works. Thanks.

 

I think I actually did mess around with that last time I tried to connect. What should I be changing?

TIS Techstream VIM
OpenPort 2.0

Edit: I did not ever mess with this setting. I see Tactrix under OpenPort 2.0. I bet that fixes it.

 

Worked perfectly after changing the VIM. Wish I had know. That a while ago. Thanks @Bishop84!

 

Just to reiterate, the vFTuner one should work, and in my opinion the best value if you don't have that is the Tactrix.
