    Hi All

Does someone know. If the truck is off. will the OBD port still have power?
reason why I'm asking is because I want to add a wifi hotspot that goes in that port.
this is so that my dash cam can connect to the internet when I'm not in the truck.

    TIA.

I know my little OBDII bluetooth adapter thing still gets power when the ignition is completely off.

Yes, power is still available at the OBDII port when the truck is off and locked.

Below is pin out diagram for OBDII port.
Pin 16 is +12 battery (always power) and Pin 4 is GND.
Take extreme caution when tap with OBD pins, any mistake may caused ECU RIP.

I'd worry about battery drain if left unstarted for a few days. I had issues leaving my UltraGauge plugged in. It drained the battery to no start condition in 48 hours. It never did this on my 2012, but it does on the 2018.
