Does it try to turn over? Does the starter tick? What noise does it make?

What kind of OBDII reader are you using? It is not uncommon for cheap ones to not support all vehicles. Go to an autoparts store like Orileys and borrow their nice one for free if you need to.

I tried a friends OBD || before and received codes because I changed fuel caps . I just got s Leveling kit in on Friday and drove home . The next morning it wouldn't start . So I borrowed his OBD || again and it won't get a reading just says ( link error) . I go and buy a new OBD and I'm getting the same ( link error) . It turns over no problem , just won't start . I even disconnected the battery hoping it might reset itself . No F---ing way nothing .

Does it try to start at all? It is either Air/Fuel/Spark. You should still be under factory Toyota warranty.

Is the ECU on a fuse?

It's shot in the dark but could it be a fault in the main computer of the truck? If you're using the same scan tool as before I am not sure what would cause it. Take it to a parts store that reads codes and see if they have the same issue. Link errors are usually an issue with the scan tool and not the vehicle.

There apparently is a OBDII fuse:
Also, there are 2 fuses that are used to clear DTC codes from the ECU on page 10 of this document:

Check these three fuses IGN, IG1 and IG1 NO2 in the inside fuse panel.

Check these four Fuses OBD, OBD-B, EFI, and EFI NO2 under the hood fuse panel.

And as stated above the OBD2 Tool must be Can Bus capable.

Easier said than done, but you're going to have to attempt to backtrack their work. Connections, fuses, etc. Today is Sunday; my guess is they are closed and maybe tomorrow as well.

Seems we've got 2 or 3 threads going similar to yours. Someone had work done and now their truck won't start. In all of these cases you have to ask yourself how did the owner get home with the truck in the first place? It must have started. The following day it doesn't.

My guess is a loose connection has since come apart.

Yes Lester true , I went under the front end this time and pushed on connections that I could see basically the ABS electrical connections behind the breaks . I think that's the ABS and pushed in on them to make sure there connected . There wasn't much else there that I seen . It's been working since then . I've gone out for a 55km drive and then a couple other times . I didn't shut it off until I got home . It's 5 am now and I'm on my way to the gym and she started today . I'm brining it in for a history check maybe it will show up . It won't show up on a OBD reading . Fingers crossed :)

If they find nothing and if it happens again check to see if the "check engine light" comes on when you first turn the key to the run position. If the light does come on the engine ECM isn't "coming on" so to speak.

Lol I brought it into the shop where I had the Leveling kit put in and they couldn't find s thing wrong even with a history check . So I bring it to Toyota and they think the security key lost connection something that happens . So I go to leave and it won't start . They are getting there aster Teck on it in a few minutes .
I'll send a update after we find out what's going on .

Go figure it didn't start after I got to Toyota . Then it did a few tries later now they are checking ECU and a couple other things after that if that's not the problem . Nothing worse than not trusting the truck every time you get in it .
