I keep getting code p0657 which is actuator supply voltage Circuit open. now i have taken it to the dealer and apparently they can't find out what is wrong and why it throws the code. they just seem to want to sell me a new truck. If I unhook the battery before starting it my check engine light will be off and my throttle will work just fine for as long as i leave it running. as soon as i shut it off and wait a few seconds and restart it it throws the code and my throttle won't work correctly. i have to give it more than half throttle for it to work at all. its like it goes into limp mode. now if i erase the code using a scan tool my light stays on and my throttle still acts like its in limp mode. now this all happened after i replaced my ecm toyota checked it over and says its the right one. I would love to hear if anyone has any solutions to this issue.

This is a guess but easy and worth a try. The new ECM has a learning function for the throttle. I've successfully used this procedure on Subarus and a Chevy Avalanche.

Clear the code with your scanner. Do not start the car. Do not start the car. Turn ignition on and make sure the code has cleared. Then turn the ignition off.

Turn on the ignition but don't start the car. Wait 10 seconds. Start the car BUT DO NOT TOUCH THE THROTTLE!! Let the car idle for 30 seconds. DO NOT TOUCH THE THROTTLE! Turn the car off.

Wait 30 seconds. Turn the ignition on. Wait 10 seconds. Start the car BUT DO NOT TOUCH THE THROTTLE!! Let the car idle for 30 seconds. DO NOT TOUCH THE THROTTLE!! Turn the car off.

Wait 30 seconds. Start the car and let idle for a few seconds, then drive it around. The idle should level out and run normally.

Like I said Ive never needed to used this procedure on a Tacoma but it is worth a try. Worked great on other cars. LMK if it works for you.

It did not work as soon as i turn it off after the code is cleared then turn it back on the code is back and the throttle goes back to limp mode.
