I'm planning to do a transmission oil change on my 2020 sr5 tacoma, I have seen a bunch of youtube videos on how to do it, but I'm a little scary. Do you guys think with a OBD2 Scanner is more safe to do it? My tacoma has 32000 miles. Do you guys think this Scanner is good enough for this job?

As longer as the scanner has Toyota specific PIDs for tranny temps.
You can use phone based apps for $30 to get a job done or use build-in temp check mode (move the shifter).
There is nothing to be afraid. Make sure you have 6-point socket for the fill plug.

I have a Foxwell NT530 with Toyota software. A little more spendy but I am very happy with it.
