I have a $10 Amazon Bluetooth OBDII scanner that works great, it connects to a $5 app and I can still use the other Bluetooth functions of my phone

It displays it, seems fairly accurate...

I'm struggling getting the mileage calcs to show anything meaningful however. My biggest gripe is accidentally resetting the fuel level by holding the up button leads to some redicilous estimates, like 650 DTE.. then seemingly no way to "cancel" or 0 that correction out. How are you all "calibrating" yours? Are you setting fill AND empty points? Actual gallons to fill? Seems I've done both and can't get anything meaningful from that portion of it. Shouldn't be that hard...

Exactly, I can read every parameter my ECU can, All of them. I can select what I want to see or see all of it. Its very handy, I can take my phone with me and use it to monitor my battery as I winch for example. I use the Automatic 2 with iOS Blue tooth interface and a few apps, I have so much usability its almost mind boggling. Does everything the scan gouge can do and then some. No mess no mounting or Jerry Rigging.

There are actually two ATF temp sensors in the tranny.

I use OBD Fusion on my iPhone. It is available in the Apple App Store for about $10. I used to have Android phones and used the Torque app, which I loved, but for work reasons I had to switch to iOS devices. The OBD Fusion app seems to be very similar to my experience with Torque. I used OBD Fusion this past weekend to read the transmission temp in order to get the ATF level perfect.

You are not an idiot, I think I was adding them as you were asking the question, has more to with timing than intellect, I'm sure. LOL

I used one with my phone. I could still use the phone also. After a week, my contact names didn't show on the truck screen. And 2 days ago, my gauges in the truck stop working. I pulled the OBD2 and everything came back to normal.
I used "obd car doctor free".
I'll check later for my obd2 brand.
I don't think I'll put this back in the truck.
