When driving over about 10MPH, every bump I hit with my front end makes a terrible chirping noise. I can't seem to recreate it by bouncing it, kicking it, or shaking it.. I've never made my truck move so much while in park. Running 5100's set at 1.5 and a Relentless skid up front - everything else is stock.

I've tried dry-lube on the suspension components and that might've made it worse. Also tried on some of the metal-metal connections where the frame meets the body, where the skid plate meets the frame, etc. Nothing changes! I can only hear it when the windows are down.

What can I do to eliminate this chirp? I know it's not the back end, as I've already had and dealt with that problem. I definitely only hear it when the front end hits, and usually when it's moving upwards, not down. I've also had the wheel bearings replaced in the last few months, so I really don't think it's that. Shaking/moving the wheel pretty hard recreates no sound, so that makes me feel a little better.

These trucks and their squeaks - for a 2010, I think this is a little ridiculous!

Edit: Ignore my picture - got the stock bumper back on now.

mine squeaks like crazy after snow wheeling.

I think its my dust boots. I usually just spray a shit load of lubricant and that takes the squeaking away for awhile

    Good luck man

mine does this exact thing. i discovered that my uca "ball-joints" (icons) are the culprit. you have stock ucas, most likely the same.
several threads on tw discuss this, we just have to deal with the squeaks after rains/washing/water and dry-lube the components. it lasts for a while until it gets soaked again.
i've learned to deal with standard taco creaks and groans but the uca joint squeak is the most annoying sound in the world.
good luck isolating and solving the noise.

Yeah - do you just blast dry lube into your ball joints? The dust jackets on both of mine seem to be torn (no idea how, been that way for a pretty long time). Is it detrimental in any way do do that? Can I accidentally push out necessary stock grease?

    yes.
    no.
you shouldn't grease it, it attracts everything. grease bad.
you should do what these threads suggest, dry film lube good. tri-flow.

we live in colorado, which means constant moisture from rain, snow, and the crap they fling on roads. ours will squeak way more than others who live in temperate areas.

Try adjusting your hood bumpers and give them and the contact points of the good a light film of grease. I had a squeak for months I couldn't track down and swore it was the suspension, ended up being the hood.

I've had the same problem for months. Been adding dry lube daily and can occasionally get it to quiet down a bit, but that only lasts a day or so. I've also lubed the UCA at all points, LCA, shock mounts, and greased the tie rod end. Out of ideas at this point so it looks like the lube will just be daily maintenance...

Try pb white lithium in the spray can on the lower shock bolt. That's where my noise was coming from and I'm running 5100 set at stock height. I could reproduce my noise by rocking the truck back and forth though so who knows.

My front end squeaks CONSTANTLY while driving, just started a few days ago, doesn't matter if I'm going over a bump or driving on flat road, it's a constant squeak. From 1mph to 70mph I can hear it. Super annoying.

Yep.. one of my hood bumpers fell off during an pil change and I didnt notice.. made the hood slightly crooked and squeeked....

I found that if you buy one of those rubber weights from a sporting goods store..and Dremel out a square.. it works perfectly.. did the same to my tailgate when it squeeked too.

Hey man not sure if you are still active on here but could you elaborate on this? I figured out the squeak is my hood but I don't know what part. I don't know if it's the latch or other parts. I checked everything and nothing is missing.
