Oh so the bottom bushing could be the squeak. Good catch. I’ll try that out.

I also went to the shop that did the install, they re-tourqued some of the bolts/nuts. If the squeak is still there(which it is) the next thing is to have Iron Man warranty the components and replace.

but I’m going to try the lower bolt just to make sure it isn’t the culprit.

Bilstein 5100 set at .85" (2nd notch) in front, TSB springs with 1" block in rear (resulting in .5" rake, higher in rear). Air bags for leveling when towing trailer, 2-Din radio with backup camera.
Hopefully that does it for you. I noticed at 14:20 he also tightened the UCA inner bolt with the truck on the ground so that is confirmed as well.

Your squeak seams to occur during UCA up cycle. It’s your UCA bushings. Are they greasable polyurethane? If so, super lube the shit out of them. If not, still back your UCA bolt out a bit and slather it in superlube then torque it to spec.

I’m leaning towards it being the bushings too. It’s been lubed, plus under a year older. Looking like Ironman will warranty them.

Well, attempted to loosen the bolt on the lower control arm; that thing must be torqued over 100ft lbs. given that I’m solo and it’s such an awkward position when not on a truck lift, I am going to let the shop deal with it. I am pretty confident they followed the proper torque process as they have done a large number of Ironman lifts. The shop is about 30 minutes form where Ironman USA is located, so it’s become a popular lift in our area.
Since the squeak is not gone, I’m guessing the next visit will be working out the details for a warranty swap.
Glad I went through a good honest shop for the work. Makes a difference in my opinion.
I’ll update here once it’s solved.

Why are you messing with the LCA? That shouldn’t have been touched during the lift instal.

Not yet. We got a snow storm over the weekend and the shop was closed. Hopefully I can get back by later this week.

Have a similar creaking going on. It almost completely went away when i sprayed some silicon lube on the LCA bushings, so im thinking its them. Ill try re-torqing. Hope that does it. Come to think of it, it started after an Alignment.

Going into the shop tomorrow to get the upper ball joints replaced. Will let you know if that solves the noise.

according to Ironman there was a batch of Balljoints that were faulty(my paraphrase). My kit was installed about a month after the bad shipment so it is likely the culprit.

I'm still chasing mine, it is driving me absolutely nutts. I've pulled the swaybar and the skid plate, I go back and forth between the LCA's, UCA,s and the lower shock bolt to the LCA. No idea.

The noise just travels all around under the wheel well. Super hard and obnoxious! I’m hoping this is the fix...

So ball joints were replaced and they made no difference in the noise...
I am thinking it’s the UCA bushings.

Nope not at all. Gotta reach back out to them and see what else they recommend. Maybe try and get them to refund and buy other UCAs or get them to send you a new set. I think they’re back ordered though from someone else I was talking to

It is 100% driving me nuts and super embarrassing. I took it to the alignment shop, to get another alignment AND ensure they do proper torque on the LCA bolts (while under load). Didn't help, and while there we even tried loosening them quite a bit, and it was still making noise. The worst part is it is really hard to figure out by myself, so i need to set a day aside with a buddy...

Yes! I get the embarrassing part 100%. Sounds like a train going through the parking lot or tractor trailer.
I put a stethoscope to various parts. The intensity seemed identical at the UCA bushing and LCA cam bolts. I’m perplexed. I’ll be visiting the shop again to see if they will diagnose it. At this point, they would have saved time warranting the whole UCA.
I’ll keep updating for reference. Good luck!
