    Nice build thread! Looks good!
    1. Do you have part numbers for the pro fog lights?
    2. How did you black out the head lights?
    3. Where did you get the Nfab slides and steps for that price?

    Thanks!

    1. The pro fog part numbers are PT228-35170AA and PT228-35170AB. You'll have to get the bezel for them too (PT228-35170BB and PT228-35170BA).
    2. I actually paid someone to do the BHLM. Took him a couple days but wasn't too expensive. Charged me $250 OTD.
    3. The NFAB's actually came from a local guy who had bought them but has an extended cab, not crew so was just trying to dump them. Guess he didn't ship them back in time for a refund. They were brand spanking new.

I think they're going to look good. I've got to get my lift in order and then it'll all come together. Truck has so much potential but looks kinda funky right now.

So this is all going down tomorrow. My dad is in town and I thought we could tackle this together... you know father/son thing. Should be a party! I'll make sure to document the whole process.

Well, got the front end done. Took WAY longer than I thought it would, but I took my sweet time and made a couple trips to the store in-between. Not hard at all, just time consuming. I'm planning to knock out the rear end tomorrow (I had other stuff I had to do today). Now the pics:

    UCA's unpacked:

    IMG_0631.jpg

Garage all set up and ready to go:

    IMG_0632.jpg

    Starting to put together UCA's:

    IMG_0633.jpg

    Stock ride height:

    IMG_0634.jpg

I made sure to measure each wheel from center of hub to fender:

    IMG_0635.jpg IMG_0636.jpg IMG_0637.jpg IMG_0638.jpg

I cut the bolt inside holding the UCA. I will tell you right now to just cut it, don't tare apart your inner fender because it just won't work. Just get a sawzall and chop that head off.

    IMG_0640.jpg

Here's me chopping the driver side with the sawzall:

    IMG_0648.jpg IMG_0649.jpg

    IMG_0641.jpg

    First coilover out:

    IMG_0642.jpg

    UCA out too:

    IMG_0643.jpg

Coil over and UCA back in.

    IMG_0644.jpg

Top tip - put the "curtains" back in before you bolt the reservoir down. One of the plugs goes behind the bracket. I had to unbolt it all and bolt it all back together twice.

    IMG_0645.jpg

    Drivers side back together:

    IMG_0651.jpg

Finally tires all mounted up - got exactly 3" of lift on the passenger side and 2 3/4" lift on the drivers side:

    IMG_0652.jpg

    Mocked up with new 285's:

    IMG_0653.jpg

More to come tomorrow with the back end. I've got to finish it up by Monday to get the alignment and mount up the Ray 10's with these tires. I've already sold the stock tires ($400) to a friend and he's antsy to get them swapped out... so am I. ;)

I should probably post what I got for those that care. I'm running a King 2.5 front and rear setup with compression adjuster valves on both ends. Total Chaos UCA's and Icon AAL in the rear end (not yet pictured). Excited to play with the adjustability of the shocks and see how much $600 bought me.

Nice build! When you installed the Kings, did you install them the way they came or did you adjust the coilovers to get your 3" lift?

Nice truck man looks like its turning out real nice. I was gonna cut the bolt too for the UCA but I ended up getting it out with a punch and minimal fender well bending. Did you just purchase spare bolts from dealer?

+ 2 on the UCA bolt, also how did the new one go back in? Did you go with EXT fronts?

I actually didn't adjust them. I thought I'd have to but with 3" of lift no need.

I purchased them from @Titus_Will_Toyota. Can't remember the price, but weren't terribly expensive.

Yup, EXT fronts. I went up through as opposed to down through. I've got a friend that's been doing suspension for years and years and he said it's very unlikely that there would be any difference at all. The stress is the same either way.

I LOVE my garage. Normally it's got 2 other cars in it beyond the Taco, but clearing it out gives me a TON of room. ;)
