I wouldnt be against renting a house if I could find something decent for 2k max a month. I'm sure that's highly unlikely.

That's my ideal situation. Wherever I get a job though. I was emailed yesterday for a position in Burbank. It's a contractor gig for 8-12 months but the pay is incredible. I'd stick around an extra year for what I'd be getting paid.

The pay would be worth it. It's more than double what I'm getting now.

Ya just a year for that one. But then I could get other jobs within the company, or use that as a base for the next job and get paid more. For only a year out of college, I'm plenty happy with that amount.

It'd be nice to travel more and explore more but it's hard to do that and come back to a job these days. Start young and retire early I guess haha. My girlfriend may be getting a new job soon as well so we'd both be finnancialy set if we move in together and be able to buy a house in a few years. I'm just thinking about paying my truck off, over landing it the fuck out and then buy a daily haha.

You seem to be in a pretty alright situation though. You could definitely be a lot worse off

Fuck ya haha. That's part of the reason I don't want to move out cuz renting is just money that could be saved to put down for a house. The price of rent is the same if not more than a mortgage for a house. I'm not a big party-er anyways I'd rather go out on the weekend and camp or wheel with you jack asses

Thanks man. Cleaning up the resume and emailing it back on Monday. We'll see how it goes. I finally took the time to update my LinkedIn which is where I got the email from. Hope to get something better soon

Thanks for all the insight everyone. Hoping this works out. I wont have a life for some months but the opportunity to double dip (military is gonna pay me some nice COLA to attend school plus cover tuition) will be worth it. @uhplifted ill keep the roommate option open. I wouldn't mind it if the spot was right. Funny you mention Burbank, I put in for their city power plant operator spot as well. If they call me in ill let you know.

As for renting, yeah it blows but its a bitchin time to sell and I wanna outta the I.E.... Again. After school who knows where my next chapter will take me. Looks like I should net 100k on my house after the sale is complete. After school ill take that cash and buy again - or buy a mini fleet of Tacoma LT's. Lol

LinkedIn is huge. My girl gets emails at least once a month. I realized my settings were private. 2 days after I got an email.

Linked in doesn't work with blue collard men. You talk about linked in around men wrenching you'll likely get your ass beat.

Edit: its like the scene outta office space where goober is unhappy and asks whose line is it anyway if the Mondays is a thing.

Haha ya it's definitely a white collar thing. But it really does work. The proof is in itself. Changed my settings and I got emailed within 2 days with a new job opportunity. Gotta network with everyone.
