    Regarding that phone interview, I did not receive the call yet, but the guy did send me an e-mail with some questions regarding serial communications and have I been exposed to, for example, RS-422 and 1553. I have only been exposed to 485, but 422 is very similar that I know of. Regarding 1553, no, I have no knowledge and/or exposure to 1553. I just hope that it doesn't affect me possibly getting the job? I did tell him in the e-mail that I was "willing to learn new things if I don't already know it." I'll be calling him tomorrow morning if I don't hear from him first thing as he did leave me his phone number. OR, should I wait for him to call me and/or e-mail me??? :goingcrazy::notsure:

    Finally, over the years I've been beaten to a pulp regarding communications protocols and circuits to "normal people" and I get laughed outta the circle? As always, I keep saying that it simply depends on what you're designing and using it for. If you don't need the super high speed data, it doesn't make sense to use expensive components??? My boss once told me that they used to design circuits using highly accurate devices, but their longevity and/or lifespan wasn't the greatest as it didn't matter because they weren't meant to "live that long"... hint... hint!!! It ALL DEPENDS on the circuit and overall intention of said circuit.
