I picked up both not too long ago. My floor jack was missing the set screw for the handle but I found it at Homer Despot pretty easily. Looking back I'd like the jack to be 2.5+t but it was their highest lifting jack they had (not one of the aluminum ones.) I also picked up their tallest... 6t stands? Maybe 4t. I can't remember.

I go to HF myself, but limit certain things. Their torque wrenches are actually pretty accurate. I have a craftsman and some other brand torque wrench that I got way, way back and have actually checked the readings, pretty accurate. One of my code readers is theirs as well and it has features that my Innova doesn't! I keep the HF scantool in the truck for field use, only because my Innova was much more expensive (at the time). Other than that, I actually like the HF code reader.

 

I've got a husky torque wrench I bought for tire poking and otherwise. The smaller of the two but not the one in in/lbs. I'd venture most torque wrenches are "accurate enough" for the vast majority of per-hand applications. The idiocy is when someone has loctite or anti-seize on the threads and sets it to spec! The manual says wet threads ALWAYS drop torque measurement.

I picked up a $20 bluetooth OBDII reader that is pretty gnarly. I was showing @ODNAREM I'm still figuring out some of the cool shit on it but it's a fun little thing to mess with. AND it can read/search/clear codes off the ECU.

Still can't figure out why it's a bit weird in the Taco. I suspected it was vibrating and getting a weak signal but no it just kinda bounces around the torque and HP calc. But what I read is that is brake HP anyway and hardly accurate. I've been meaning to dial in a few other screens with air/fluid temps, pressures, etc. Whatever is available.

This is correct. Sometimes, depending on how "wet" the threads are, you can somewhat set it close to "reg specs". It almost becomes a judgement call sometimes?! But yeah, quite a few people don't understand the concept!!! Personally, I don't like putting anti-seize on spark plug threads!!!

My Innova does OBDI as well, although, I've never had to implement that yet, LOL!!! Maybe @kyle11863 Kyle might need help in reading his codes if he ever makes it back alive on the forum. Other than that, I really don't know anyone with OBDI???

Btw, that's pretty neat with the bluetooth code reader???!!! Very interesting on how that would and/or does work???
