yes sir. Its the closest (and funnest) downhill spot to me. telonics is great, the shuttle is quick. the view is nice. the trail has its steep and technical sections... fun fun ride.

Also recommend fiveoaks, which is on the otherside of the wilderness park in that vicinity. However, that trail can not be shuttled. once you get to the bottom plan on doing some pedaling/walking/hiking to get back to the car or other trails.

everyone rides the surrounding trails to get exercise... super FUN on a DH bike if you're charging it. but beware, riding a dual crown 8-10spd DH bike, you will get made fun of by the many other riders that are there to pedal uphills on their all-mountains/hardtails/whatever.

happens to me all the time, they laugh when they see full face helmets and huffing puffing walking. but we always make fun of their tights, clip in shoes, no pads, goofy helmets and lack of ability to actually bomb DOWN the trails, so its all in good fun. lol

5 oaks ive ridden plenty of times. Thats where we always start.

The shuttle in telonics are always odd man out? Im thinkinh u cant leave ur car at the top of the world? Also saw at pinkbike rangers be sneeking up at bikers and givinh them tickets because apparently its not a legal trail.

Telonics use to be an illegal trail. But I believe it is legal now. 5 oaks is tons of fun. but getting there and back is a lot of work. I have an all mountain bike, I cant imagine how much work it is to pedal or push a dh bike. I always wear ff when I ride. forgot which pro said it, but "dress for the crash"

gotchya. we always warm up 5oaks too. but we go up cholla (or the fire road near there) and then go down lynx and back to the cars.... carwreck is so far out of the way... we are always too lazy after a few DH runs

but for telonics, you def want a group. i usually ride that trail with 4-5 guys. take turns sitting odd man out. 1 drives from the art school, drop off, back down, the driving/riding timing works out almost perfect, then seat swap and take turns. usually end up riding 4-5 runs depending on the group and everyone usually sits out once.

cant imagine how you'd make that fly riding solo or you and a buddy.

dude, we have all been chatting in here for awhile and we all have ridden aliso plenty it seems..... lets get together for a DH run soon and ride a few trails some time, guys. taco/mtb meet.

Thats exactly how we shuttled Telonics last time. Did about 4-5 runs each. I ride those trails, but im pretty slow. LOL. Usually the last one out of my friends to reach the bottom and also the one with the most falls. LOL.

thats ok. my group has varying degress of riders too. me and my close buddy are the slow ones of my group (we have been riding for 2-3 years) while the older ones in our group ALL have 10+ years riding experience......

riding with better guys can only make you a better rider, man. would still be cool to grow the group and have one other thing to enjoy with fellow riders and taco lovers.

i like to consider myself slow too. but its a mental game. helps me push it a little harder each time i go out.

if you're riding telonics at all, even slow pace, id say you're a pretty decent rider... that trail is pretty steep

how old are you guys? i feel young. though I'm 31. my group of DH buddies, all of which are shredders and haul ass, are all 35-50 years old. riding with old dudes makes you really feel like you should be stepping up your game.
    (sorry if you're older...) haha
