    Where we live? Nah
I think that's more an east coast thing where they have serious rust issues

Could just sand it off and spray some new paint on. An old coworker of mine decided to sand down most of his frame and respray it with rustoleum. Turned out nice

yeah I think that’s what I might do if it gets worse. I live pretty close to the water so I didn’t know if it’s bad enough or not.

also, does anyone know how to rebuild coil overs? I have a chance to buy some for $100 bucks but they need a rebuild.

I’m about 3 blocks away. My frame is fine, granted my roof has a rust spot but that was there when I got the truck

Oooooo... those guys. I hope they are in decent shape. I don’t think you can get parts for them anymore.

They look pretty good. You can buy a rebuild kit for $20 online. I’ve just never rebuilt a shock before.

I wasn't talking about seals. Seals are easy to get. I don't think any hard parts are available, at least from the manufacturer. You may be able to find a shop with spare parts around if needed but hopefully that won't be an issue.

My dad bought me the Body Armor HiLine series front bumper + a light bar as a grad gift. Sadly I don't own any tools or have the ability to install this. I called 4 Wheel Parts and they quoted me $800 for installation (yikes, more expensive than the bumper).

Does anyone in the area have experience installing this and wanna help a girl out? I'd be more than happy to kick down some cash too! :help:

I'm considering putting big girl pants on and trying to learn myself but I'm scared lol

Sorry, I'm totally a noob when it comes to rebuilding shocks so I misunderstood you. All the hard parts seem in good enough condition to not need replacement. But I guess if something does break I am screwed.

Should I pick them up for $100 and try to rebuild them? My hope is to run some upper arms, coil-overs, and rear shocks (probs fox) to have a better ride. My OME shocks aren't too hot but the Dakar pack is good still.

No worries, I wasn't very specific.

That's your call. $100 is cheap for shocks but you'll be invested into a rebuild before you know for sure.

Yeah. He told me they already need a rebuild. He said he's done them once before. How long does a shock last after a rebuild.
