Finally made it out to ocala two weekends ago for a little camping an a full day of wheeling. myself and 2 of my friends camped friday and saturday nights. great weather, and you can camp wherever you want. saturday morning, we met up with Alex, (sparklegrease) at the trail head and headed out for a full day of trails. had a great time, and can't wait to go back!

my buddy went crazy and took about 400 pictures, but there was a lit of duplicates....these were the best. Enjoy :)

this first group is packing up, getting there, and campint the first night

only you can prevent forest fires.

Looks like you guys had fun. The leaves are changing up here so I will be doing some camping in North GA in the next few weeks.

i believe only 4 time. 3 required the tow strap, and the other time we were able to push her out. we were all very pleased with how well it performed. it's low weight allowed it to float over most stuff. the sand was really soft too. i stepped out once to get the strap ready and sank in half way up my shin

though it made for a good laugh afterwards, you will hear a luod banging sound in this video....as is obvious judging on my friend's commentary, we thought the truck was about to explode....it was perfectly fine, the sound was just an ammo can bouncing around in the bed

Super cheap and worth every penny. Keeps you from having to carry a flashlight around.

yeah, those led things would have come in handy. the fire was more than enough light most of the time, but when we started eating, we forgot about the fire and there went out light.

mgrande: it's a great place to wheel. nothing technical though. if you want technical, hard rock off road park is only about a half hour away i believe.
ocala is mostly a network of dirt roads (some maintained, some pretty rough). every once then, scattered about are those huge sand pits where traction is non-existant....but very fun. you can branch off the main trails though for some skinnier stuff. there are some pictures of a couple we went down. we actually took one in order to get to the lake.

If you dont mind my asking, where did you camp at and how much did it cost? Me and some buddies want to go camping in a couple weeks and I was thinking about going to ONF... Looks like a hell of atime.

Those pics make me want to go beat on me Prerunner some.
