I've always just driven down a trail till i find a suitable clearing and set up camp there. there's a nice little spot that would fit 1-3 trucks about a mile from the shooting range, but for anything larger, i'd calll and reserve an actual site.

We stayed at Delancy campground. I cant remember if it was the East or West but it was a pretty nice place. We also stayed at i think it was Fore Lake. It was pretty nice also. I would go back to Fore Lake if i were to camp again.

I might drive out to see what's going on and hit some trails...I want to explore the pwr line that crosses 44 heading south. From what I hear it's real challenging sugar sand and dunes for miles on end.

I absolutely hate that trail. like with a passion. I will never go down that road again. I pretty much had to be pulled up and down those freaking hills. John knows all about it.

Wow...sounds like fun to me :D I was about to go out there alone when after leaving the ashalt to the first dune I noticed all kinds of signs that people were getting buried. Lumber, branches, carpet even what appeared to be some good spare tires used to get unstuck!

I think it would be a challenge to run it in 2WD with a locker...I hear people do it all the time. I know I can go anywhere...but go alone and break something...then your fugged! :(

yeah its straight nasty. its probably 5 or 6 hills of just pure sugar sand. And it gets really deep right at the bottom so you loose all momentum trying to go up. I might have pictures of it.

I wouldnt try that crap alone. Im sure you would ahve a blast going through it but be ready to kick it in 4X4 to get through it.

Yeah...you buried to the axle there! I still find a few spots in and around Ocala that has some fun spots. Maybe August will bring some well needed rain and then it will be good out there.
