    Hey guys,

I have noticed that occasionally when I turn to the left my truck has rubbing noise. It doesn't really happen except at low speeds when I am parking or on a tight turn at low speeds. It is not a metal grinding noise, nor does it impeed my ability to drive or turn, so I think something it rubbing.

I run stock 265 70 R16's on my truck, and i checked the wheelwell to see if anything caught the tire when the truck was sitting stationary. Also, I got an alignment recently and the shop said that everything was tight and in good working order.

My front mud flaps are stock and they are kind of floppy so what I am thinking is, that the mud flap on the drivers side is rocking back and forth when I slow down and it hits the tire for a brief moment. This doesnt happen on the passenger side because that mudflap isnt stock and is a harder plastic.

    Any advice, or possible causes?

    Thanks

Describe the noise. Is it a whiny, small-electric-motor sort of sound?

No it's not electric motor sounding, sounds more like something rubbing like the tire on something

The odd thing is, and why I think it might be the mudflap, is that it only happens at lower speeds, and when the wheel is turning for a brief second. I think the mudflap is loose and is hitting the tire, I'm not entire sure though.

It doesn't happen on highways, just really when I'm pulling into a parking spot

Well if it the tire is rubbing the mud flap you will be able to see scratches or at the very least a shiny smooth spot on the flap. Another thing the tire may be rubbing is the pinch weld..

I think it's more so that mudflap is rocking back and hitting the tire
