My front right wheel on my 2000 Tacoma occasionally has a pretty violent vibration/shaking. This happens pretty randomly and doesn’t end until I stop the truck. When I get going again it will be gone and will stay gone for an indeterminate amount of time. I have checked the ball joints and tie rod ends and they are fine. I have replaced the steering rack recently as well.
The vehicle is not modded or lifted. Any ideas I should look into.
    Thanks in advance.

Just a thought but control arm bushings could be shot.Could also be wheel bearing. I’d get it up on jacks and yank on the tire and everything checking play.

    4 run, 2 don't
    This.

Lift it up and check for play.

I had this issue. It was a faulty brake master cylinder in my case. The brakes would seize up and release after a period of time.

There are many videos on YouTube that discuss the subject and how to diagnose it.

Control arms were replaced about 2018 but I checked and they seem fine- I will post a video when I can but my internet is pretty poor and takes forever.

With a wheel bearing I would expect more noise and more consistency. This shaking happens very inconsistently.

For master cylinder- it seems to only be affecting one wheel. That said, I’ve yet to have someone in the truck with me when it happens to look at the tire and see if it is jumping up and down like it feels.

Mine also seemed like it was only affecting one wheel. It was affecting all, but one more than the others.
