Yhea I tried doing that once. About 3 years back. Went super early to get up with the sun there rode a short time in the morning and dusk.
Spent most my time in the truck with A/C
It was fun and at the same time eerie with nobody there. Just my friend and i.
Always have gone when there is people.

its awesome getting there that early. It definitely gets eerie when your the only ones out there but you don't have to worry about anyone else and acres upon acres all to yourself is well worth it!

Yeah and once you are past heat exhaustion you are on a downhill slope! Problem the more times you have had it the easier it gets, kinda like a concussion!

I love being the only one out there! We would go a lot mid-week just for that reason, less people. I dont want to hit a side by side when Im railing the outside of a left hand corner because somebody thinks they are Robby Gordon using the entire trail. I have had to take evasive action more than once. In the past few years its gotten pretty bad with inexperienced drivers..

Well when you have a place in Havasu, you gotta do what ya gotta do! I have had a couple races in JV where the temperatures were about 108. Seriously almost stroked out! Was worth it to take the trophy, lol. That plastic must be worth several dollars! :D

Lol. I took my bike to Beaumont when it was 100 degrees one time and I'll never do it again. Got stuck on a gnarly hill climb and the heat just about killed me.

If its hot and you start to struggle it only makes it worse! When you are my size if you have to struggle too much you become a piece of Jerky pretty quick.

I stopped going to Ocotillo during holidays a few years back for that reason. I got tired of getting pissed off at people and worrying about getting hit.

I love punishment. If you want to ride I'm all about it. I love fast or technical, or both!

God hates quitters! ;) My last good one was at about 50mph ended up 40 feet from the bike. Im pretty good at doing a flip and landing on my bladder in my hydration pack, its like my personal airbag. I popped it when I landed! Sucked having to race 70 miles with nothing to drink, lol. And a fawking 3rd place! Had to start from dead last in a sea of about 150 other racers.

Being 120# (or 140ish with gear and bladder, etc) helps with the kinetic energy too I guess, feather vs stone analogy.
Let me know when you wanna ride again.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
