Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Nah he hit just about level with the mirror/center of the fender and straight back.

It seems like I have 2 options: take it to an approved shop and let them put it all back together dealing with insurance directly, or, get it inspected get a check and find a shop. I don't necessarily have anyone I trust. Anyone out there got any suggestions? I spoke to one of the approved shops and asked the guy if they'd be able to do glass instead of factory fenders and he said no. :(

Only advise I have to offer is I would try and avoid a franchise shop, ei: caliber, maaco. They are known to use low quality paint and materials.

It's also your truck, so you can take it to any shop you please, insurance tries to tell you otherwise ask for it in writing.

It's not too late. Run out and find an open area. Might be more fun in the rain...

There is a really good place by me that fixed my wife's car called Y&S auto body. But that's kinda far from you.

Oh I definitely know that. I just mean "convenient" vs. not quite as convenient. They make it easy to use their shops and won't inspect my truck before Friday if I'm lucky.

you guys are killing me...I used to jeep in my old CJ3 and hike there in Anza Borrego and Ocotillo Wells in the 70's when I lived in San Diego. I married a girl from the Coachella Valley. Moved back east (NH) when my enlistment ran out in 1981...I don't necessarily regret moving back here (except for trying to stay ahead of the rust) but man, that picture in the OP brings back memories.

    Have fun!

You should ask for a rental because your truck is ticket-able in it's current state haha. Asking for a rental always makes the adjuster more enticed to write your estimate sooner, they hate paying for stuff they know they can get out of, like a rental car.

That's a good idea, didn't think about that. Every time I've been asked if it's "still driveable" I've said yes mechanically, but I do not have a passenger mirror and so it's not road-safe. They've not been very reactive so far... Kinda weird.

Who is your insurance with? I have Geico. I called them and asked for same day appointment in surrounding area, had a check in hand a couple hours later.

State farm. They told me the earliest inspection would be Friday and that was me driving to them. The more i think about it the more it's bugging me. I haven't even been contacted by them yet. Will be calling soo

Nice meeting you and the family Jose. You'll be hearing from me soon cause I really want to get out there to explore Anza south of the 78.
It was great to meet you and the Demello Offroad team. I'm not gonna make the Pismo trip cause I got the TacomaWorld Offroad challenge meet up that weekend. I'll keep you posted on upcoming trips!
