    Dropping down to 10 is pretty low. At Pismo most were at 15-18. The same there is very soft too.

    Yes 10psi is low, but that psi is fine. If you can't air back up and have to drive to a gas station then yeah you might want to just go to 15-18. 60 bucks will get you a compressor to get your tires from 10-30. If you loose a bead, well get redneck and use the old carb cleaner and long reach lighter and get it back on the bead...search youtube for some examples. :eek:

    FWIW: 10 psi is no problema is soft sand... It will float your truck... But NO SHARP TURNS and NO SLAMMING the BRAKE!

    Where I go, usually 15 psi will work... but at 10 psi, the truck struggles less to drive over soft sand. Not the fine sand of the Pacific or Ocotillo Well, but the coarse sand/ gravel/ crushed sea shells/ coral of the Sea of Cortez beaches. I don't need to deflate at Ocotillo or Pacific beaches (with TRAC in H4) unless I want to climb dunes.
