Not feeling great about camping at the original spot. With it being the first good camping weekend I’m sure they will be patrolling. I’m up for wherever y’all wanna go though.

Yeah, but being so close and this weekend being first big camping weekend, it may be late to reserve spots. There are plenty of camping on Guntersville Lake, but you're going to be up everyone's butt. I liked the primitive camping area because it was secluded. Sucks that this may not come to fruition as that spot is awesome for camping!

Thanks for the heads up. I camped down there years ago and it was a memorable time! It's a shame that folks trash beautiful places like that. I don't blame em for shutting it down...

South sauty has some decent spots on the lake. It rarely fills up.

I kayak fished at south sauty some, but not too familiar with the camping setup. I fished a lot below the damn, up paint rock creek. We caught some monster 20 - 30 lb stripers when they were running!

That could be an option. There are trails i still want to run and it a good place for fishing as well. Probably could find a nice quiet spot along the river. @tweakit88 might know of a spot?

That place could be a big tank trap when it rains hard! lol It was dry as a bone that day and still mud holes everywhere!
