I'm doubtful at this point, heading to Maine for vacation Monday and will be getting back Sunday. Already have a lot of driving ahead of me without adding a drive to CT I'll just have to PM @surfandturf to set up a time when I get free time.

I am very interested. 9/23 would work.. I have a 2016 that’s never been done. I was considering Ziebart until someone directed me to this thread. Can you please educate me? Compare your work to a Ziebart job? I’m in North Jersey and really don’t have the appetite to drive 2.5 hours to Ziebart and leave the truck for 3 days. I want it done right for sure.....but saving some $ and keeping my Taco sounds damn good.

 

Ziebart has several rust solutions so it depends on the product. However, most ziebarts put down a permanent under coating. I'm sure it works great on a new vehicle and will stay great as long as it doesn't crack. Any of the rubberized coatings are going to be a problem when they crack and allow corrosion to start under the rust barrier. I have no idea what that costs

I do know that fluid film should be applied annually and it never really dries. It stays wet and uses a lanolin based wax to create a chemical barrier between the truck and elements that will create rust.

Ziebart and FF are 2 different approaches to rust prevention. I spray everything under thr truck causing no harm to electrical connections. Ziebart probably just focuses on the frames and chassis

Sounds good. Just in case, mine is 4 and likes to run around and is pretty much up for playing with anything. He's been in daycare since he was 6 months old, so he's pretty good about playing with others. Figured I'd throw that out there just in case.

No, they reopened it recently. The work is done on that side of 84.
