ya, we think the thread got derailed by the trail run and possibly the UW vs Oregon football game.

I was watching the Sounders game

 

American brewing had all the games on! It was a pretty cool place, $5 pints, free popcorn, decent bar food.

 

Sorry I didn't make this one. Have a head cold and also a but of a hangover so I've been sleeping all day Glad to hear y'all liked the brewery though!

 

Doh, sorry! My flight got in way late last night and I ended up playing catch before another week of travel. I'll catch y'all for the next one!

 

I was thinking of going, but I ended up on a SAR mission yesterday. Left home at 7:30 am, didn't get home until 3:00 am. Probably headed back out for it today. Hopefully, I can catch the next one.

Unfortunately, they haven't found the guy yet. The search area is really big so there's a lot of ground to cover.

 

How do you get involved with Sar? I'd be willing to help out .

It's all volunteer, so you just need to get in contact with them and let them know you're interested. When I joined, I looked them up on the web and just showed up at one of the meetings. Usually, you would join the SAR for whichever county you're in, I'm in Pierce county, so I'm with the Pierce County 4X4 Search and Rescue. You're going to need to pass a background check and go through the training prosses. For the PC 4X4 SAR, the background check is fairly straight forward and the bulk of the training happens over two weekends just to get going. After that, there's additional training if you want to use a quad or side by side.

Most counties also have other Search and Rescue groups. Along with the 4X4's, Pierce County also has Explorer SAR. They are the ones on foot searching the trails and going cross country if needed. There is also Mountain Rescue, Hounds, and K9.

Damn you guys get quads and side by sides? What the hell...... we just have a "cool" jeep that you literally have to kiss major ass to drive

 

The quads are if you have one. We do have a side by side though.

 

Have they found his truck at least? Last I saw this morning they knew his truck was high centered but haven’t found it yet
