I would like to know if there is an ODB2 scanner, via wired or Bluetooth, that can read codes but also change settings on the vehicle. Maybe even be able to program a new key?
I will be using on my new to me 2009 Tacoma AC V6 Manual trans.
Thanks for any and all advice

Toyota pro tech and youtuber The Car Care Nut recommends the XTool line of bidirectional scanners. I picked up an A30M model and it is bidirectional and will write and/or control many vehicle functions, like ABS bleeding. I can't tell you what all these can do because I haven't had the need to get that deep into it yet beyond the ABS. He has videos showing more functions to include key programming. But it is best to do your research to see if the ones you are considering support the specific functions you are looking for.

In his videos he really likes the more $ models that come with their own screens. But those generally have only a few years of free updates, whereas the A30M that works with your phone or tablet for the screen has free lifetime updates. IMO this is a better deal for home mechanics.

Here is one of the videos going over these tools and their functions. He spends most of the time on the higher end versions and doesn't spend a lot of time on the A30 models which he says are "slow". I didn't find them to be slow. They do need to pull down some data at first but the process was easy and really not slow. At least the video will give you an idea of the tools' capabilities.

THIS is the ULTIMATE Scan Tool's better version but is it BETTER? D8 Review - YouTube
