2023 4x4 SR when idling the idle goes up and down, each time proceeded by a "chuff" that sound like air getting released or sucked in.

Here is a video, right at 14 seconds you can hear it, sounds louder standing in front of the truck but not so loud in the video, any ideas?

Hey there! Based on the description you provided and the video, it seems like you might be experiencing some trouble with your idle control system. The "chuff" sound you hear is likely the engine trying to adjust its idle speed by either releasing or sucking in air.

A few potential causes could be a faulty idle control valve, a vacuum leak, or a problem with the throttle body.

or it could also be the Atkinson cycle switching from Otto cycle on the engine, when at idle the Atkinson cycle kicks in to be more efficient

I don't have a code reader would it be obvious to me if it was throwing one? Like check engine light?

I personally feel like it would throw a code at you, but then again the other day I forgot to put the gas cap back on after 200 mile trip and it didnt throw a code at me , I would go to the dealer to see what is .Also keep in mind the v6 engine has port and direct injection, with atkinson cycle/ otto

Well I posted in another thread about vibration in the steering wheel and gas pedal between 40 and 50 mph, took it to the dealer they drove around the block and said "everything is OK" friend at another shop said something is wrong, I suspect the dealer will see nothing wrong again.
Less than 4k miles on it and I'm having a nervous breakdown over this truck.

I wish I had a valium.... my last truck was a 2002 tacoma, no problems, this one gives me the vibe it's going to be all problems.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions it's off to the dealer (again).

They don't make them like they used and can have little quirks that weren't on older models. If you and another shop feel there is something wrong take back to the dealer and don't except there notion that nothing is wrong. They don't make much off warranty work so they try to avoid it. Keep on them and insist it is not right.

Another one bites the dust. It's strange what these trucks can do some owners mind. I saw what it did to a buddy.
