Odd noise from rear when braking in reverse (vid)

    Still under warranty. And per a previous bit of advice I despise letting the dealer to anything to my vehicle(s)
    I'd let them look at it first. If you do anything to it that doesn't correct it or makes it worse they may deny
    warranty claim. Heck they may deny warranty claim anyway with the ole normal-wear-and-tear line.

    But do let the board know what you find.

    Clean and adjust the rear brakes and see if that helps. At 24k the shoes should have plenty of thickness left.

    The dealer will likely just sell you a brake job in the rear.

    Does it do it with foot off the Brakes..I'm not sure about brake warranty(usually 12/12)

    I agree that it's unlikely that the shoes have much wear. It just seems there's a little bit of vibration when lightly applying brakes while backing up.

    I've only noticed it in reverse and when the brakes are lightly applied.

    I have an appointment for this Friday at 3pm.

    All looks normal to me except for the layer between the drum and hub.... I'm not used to seeing that.
