    All,

Noticed when I am in park, if i turn the steering wheel the rpms go up a bit. I remain at a constant idle but if I wheel left or right the rpms increase a bit then drop down. Anyone else notice this?

    Thanks,

    Dan

Yea because your engine is under strain from the extra load of your power steering pump as you turn the wheel and the ECU increases RPMs to compensate

Just like a bump in idle when the AC compressor kicks in

Pretty cool isn’t it. Not so good for tires but the ecu helps you out.

Power steering... I thought. However, I used to as reason to get a TSB tune, and the dealership bought it.
