So does anyone know if I can fit the rear axle from a TRD-off-road in the bed of my DCSB Tacoma? The axle appears to be 65” and the dimensions of the short bed are 60.5”x41.5”. Pythagorean theorem blah blah blah (I was a math tutor) the distance from one corner to another is ~73.37” and that should fit perfectly as the ends of the axle are drums, so they will not fit into the corners of the bed. Plus I have to account for the fender humps and the fact that I have a bed cover. So I came here to ask the experts if anyone has ever done this.

I’d also say, “That ain’t going anywhere”.
If you say that, the probability of success goes up by a 41.777%

But I also got a public ejucmacation so my maff might be wrong.

Will probably fit diagonally. If not leave the tailgate down. Consider one of these for future use.

I had one installed before leaving the dealer when I bought my Tacoma. If nothing else, they keep small gear near the tailgate and won't allow it to slide toward the cab. I have a cap on mine and wouldn't want a truck without one, even one with a longer bed.
