    Whether it’s practical or not. Let’s say you’ve got all the money all the time and patience in the world, could you slap a turbo on your Taco, change out some fuel delivery stuff and then run diesel through your rig?

    Diesel, no, turbo yes.

    Diesel needs direct injection and a mechanical high pressure pump, the 1GR cannot handle compression combustion pressures and uses indirect fuel injection.

    You could convert to liquid propane if you wanted though.

    So if you had an engine with direct injection and an engine that can handle the compression than yes?

    Yes if you put a diesel engine in (and mating trans that can handle the torque low RPM and communicate with the engine ECU, or just a built manual trans) then yes the fuel lines and tank can handle the diesel, you may need a different fuel filter though.
