Hey folks, I know this is a very long shot but it doesn't hurt to ask.
Does anyone have a 1/4" NPT friction drill bit they would be willing to let me borrow to drill one hole in an aluminum air tank? I'll gladly pay shipping plus a little extra for some beer.
The placement of the drain hole in my new air tank isn't ideal for me. Having the drain on the bottom puts the air fittings on the side when I'd rather have them on the top.

Unfortunately none that are willing to do a single hole. My buddy that owned the machine shop I use to use passed last year.

I will probably just crank in a 90* 1/4" push to connect fitting and run a remote drain.
Thanks, I knew it was a long shot while wearing a blindfold.

Edit: I made spacers for the brackets so the main fittings are between the tank and bedside. This put the drain on the bottom, but very close to the wheel well. I think a 90* ptc fitting will fit now that it is more toward the curve than the top of the wheel well.

Hopefully you can make it work since you made the spacers. If you know anybody with a TIG welder I can make you a threaded piece to have welded on it :D

I thought about welding a bung on. Dont remember why I decided against it.
