Lots of awesomeness in these pics. Loving those RAY10s. Only way to install a winch in an ARB without removing the bumper. Brett press FTMFW!

ARB Twin partially installed until I decide where I want it permanently.

Today I decided that I kinda want the compressor behind the back seat....

I also got the bed tie downs done as well as the fridge slide, and then trimmed the bed mat

I still need to put two more pieces of this track in the rear corners for the spare fluid and the water tank I am trying out.

    Canyonlands Maze District:

We left Fort Collins Saturday and headed toward Utah. Our group camped two nights in green river until the group had all made it.

Monday we headed out of Green River to Han's Flat and got permits then headed on to our first campsite.
Flint seep group site was not fun. Sustained winds upwards of 30 mph and gusts over 50 put us camping in the truck that night due to silt in the air. The next morning we listened as the weather began predicting snow and cold, potentially changing our plans became an option as the less built rigs became concerned. I made breakfast and in typical Utah fashion the weather update changed for the day and came in predicting awesome weather. We trudged on down the flint trail to teapot junction then began making our way towards the dollhouse.

We encountered only 1 group heading out as we came in and we made it to our destination for the next three nights by 3pm. We set up camp and enjoyed the sites and surroundings. Took in some scenic hikes and ate lots of great food with great beers accompanying.

Dollhouse 1 is maybe the most beautiful campsites I've stayed at.

We were there for 3 nights and then headed out. Due to our disappointment with conditions at the Flint Seep group site we decided to cruise on for more scenic untraveled sections. We took the road to Hite out through Glenn Canyon.

We grabbed a burger in Hanksville and then got gas and headed back to civilization. I bought a shower at the koa in green river booked it back home Friday evening. It was a great trip to clear my head and hit restart.

    Some thoughts:
I carried a 17 gallon water tank in the back to serve duty as kitchen and shower water. It made the truck a fat bastard and I definitely need to do something with the rear springs if I plan to continue carrying it. The suspension was great on the way out when the tank had emptied but full it was a bit of a bear to drive with any speed off road. I was super impressed with the Coopers as they held on tight in all situations and kept me out of washed out sections while driving and using a tablet/camera. I am not sure they slipped even once on a variety of terrain and we encountered some snow and mud on the way out as the rains began around The Wall as we left. I also have come to the conclusion that I definitely need a different tent. The dust and sand came in anytime the wind picked up. It just isn't suited for the desert and with Rochelle its too small. Overall I am happy with the way I prepared and the way my truck/gear performed. I was able to make it all the way home from Grand Junction on a single tank so the mileage with the new tires isnt killing me beyond what was already happening.

Unrelenting. Time to get something a little more sleak and slim.

Ditching your rear bumper? Is that someone picking it up?

Not sure exactly but had someone who wanted it so now that it's gone I can make up my mind on what's next. I'm thinking less tubes less weight maybe the spare in the bed. Didn't care for the ride with all the weight back there

oh wow... so you don't have something in the works? You're gonna be assless for a while.

I like my bruteforce for sure. @chenbro got a CBI I think at it seemed really nice too. Not sure if I've seen the pelfreybilt hc rear but I like my front.

Yeah I will be bare til the end of the year if I hurry up and decide on something. I didnt want to replace it and have that sitting out back unused. Had to recoup some money to put towards the new one. also didnt want to order alcan springs until the new one is done and Im about tired of the current springs. although without a bumper they feel much better

    What haven’t I changed?
That’s a big change! I like my CBI but wouldn’t look good with how much metal is missing from your bed sides. Seems like a Brute Force or Pelfrey without swing outs would be your best bet for saving some weight.

I have considered a mostly tube rear bumper. Something simple that turns the corner maybe two bars parallel in the rear that taper toward the wheel well. I got to start researching again
