How good is the nav? Does it compare to the newer, higher end stand alone Garmin units? For example: my garmin shows pictures of the exits and which lane to be in.

I installed mine yesterday. Awesome radio. Thanks FLTrucks.

I am just having trouble with USB & satellite antenna connections. Anyone else run into this issue?

I think it is very comparable. Also has traffic info, points of interest, etc. Very good unit I must say.

Did you ever get this to work?

I have a 2012 with a non JBL unit but I do have Bluetooth and XM radio. What else would I need to purchase besides the head unit to make this head unit work? Will my steering controls and microphone work properly?

My end goal would be to have my back up camera display on my mirror as it does now and to have a switch to make a front view camera display on head unit. I'm not sure that would be possible but the nav and Neptune would make the swap worth it either way.

Got a local guy looking to buy my 2014 entune audio plus touch screen and put it into his 2011 regular cab. His current unit is the factory base non touchscreen, no steering wheel control, no USB, no Bluetooth. The only thing he currently has in his 2011 is the aux plug. The unit I'm selling him is the 2014 non nav unit. What will he need to get this unit hooked up in his truck, does he need any adapters or wire harness to make it plug and play? Also, should the faceplate fit?
    Thanks

Got your PM regarding the same question. Best answered here in case someone else had the same question.

Do you mean the faceplate from your 2014? It won't be 100% flush, they'll be unnoticeable gap unless your looking at it closely. From what I've seen 2012 and up have a different design on the center bezel.

    Here's mine on an 08.

He needs to get an antenna adapter to utilize the radio. Metra 40-LX21. Got mines from Crutchfield.

If he wants to utilize BT. He needs the 28-pin conversion harness, and the mic. Somehow the HU has to detect that a mic is plugged so the BT can work.

Mic that's plugs into that 28-pin conversion harness for the Bluetooth to work.

Oh as for his aux plug it should plug right in to that grey next to the brown.

    Adio,

Thanks for the info. So even to use just the BT audio and not speakerphone, he needs the mic in order for BT to be active? Did you order the mic directly from Toyota?

Unfortunately somehow you have to have that mic to utilize the BT. I plugged in that 28-pin conversion without the mic, and it was a no go. With the mic, works perfect. I could be wrong though, if I am someone will chime in.

Wanted to utilize the BT mainly for streaming music off of my iPhone. I've never called anyone while driving anyways.

    got the mic online, MidAtlanticToyotaParts.com

If he wants to just keep it basic and just stick to radio, then all he needs is the antenna adapter.

Any harnesses or adapters needed for installing in a 2012 or 13? I'm pretty confident the faceplate should fit since 2012 was when they made the change. Thanks

The 2013 has the steering wheel controls for the phone, but no voice control button. Any idea how to make the voice control work?

And lastly, which plug on the rear of the new radio does the smaller sized plug from the 2013 camera in head unit cable plug into? I have the eBay cable to route the display into the head unit, the same as used by others on this thread.
