The same shit everyone else has.
Verizon iPhone 4 running on 6.1.3.

The "connect to vehicle" selection is greyed out in the setting page.

I was having trouble with the bluetooth for some reason as well earlier. Im going to go outside and try again and report back.

Last week mine just quit connecting thru Bluetooth. It kept failing to connect and I know it wasn't my phone. I ended up disconnecting my battery and having the radio forget my phone. After that it connected like normal.

I have the same radio and have talked to 1 person here on the forum that installed the NAV in a 2012 but his voice controls are not working yet. Has anyone here in this thread have a 2012 with non touch screen with XM and the shark fin antenna completed the swap and if so are your voice controls working? I want to make sure my steering wheel controls and voice will work with the factory microphone already installed in the vehicle before I purchase.

You shouldn't have a problem with the voice controls working. I have looked over the wiring diagrams from 2005 up to 2014, and the voice controls are the same with the exception of the 2014 year which is still the same but they added another signal wire for the arrow keys. Also, this is not exactly what you are looking for but I can confirm that the voice controls in my 2005 JBL Tacoma work on a non jbl 2013 touch screen. You don't get much more complected then that lol. I should clarify, the Non jbl 2013 touch screen doesn't support voice activation but I get a pop up window that say voice activation is not available when I press the switch, all other buttons function as they should. As for the mic the wiring is the same so as long as you got the right connectors it should all work. Is your 2012 a jbl or non JBL system? I'am unaware that factory microphones came with non nav/non jbl Tacomas in 2012.

I've got a 2012 non JBL system with XM radio and bluetooth. I've got voice control on my steering wheel to make calls and scroll through functions and I'm able to use the microphone to make calls.

It shouldn't be a piece of cake then, all you will need is the toyota harness PT546-00120-CH. Your microphone will plug into the 8 pin housing and the harness from your truck will plug into the 20 pin housing. Then just plug the 28 pin connector into the radio and your steering wheel and microphone should work just fine. That is more or less what this guy did here

Thanks for the information. Will I be able to keep my current XM subscription with the new head unit?

The Nav unit doesn't come with a XM module. If you have one on your current stereo I believe you can unscrew it and mount it under the nave unit. If you do this I am assuming your subscription will remain unchanged since you are using the same xm module. Even if it does get messed up I can't image it would take much more than a phone call to get everything worked out.

Are they any major differences between the 2012 Entune w/ JBL and Nav and the 2014 Entune Nav w/JBL? Other than look of the buttons?

I have a 2012 with Nav and JBL and was wondering what if any benefits there would be to having the 2014 unit.

The one FLTrucks is selling here is non-jbl so it will take a little work to get it to function as it should with your JBL wiring. My 2005 tacoma has JBL audio. I was able to get a 2013 non-jbl/non-nav touch screen to work with it, but I had to use a Metra TYTO-01 JBL Amplifier Interface Harness. The whole thing took me about two days worth of studying wiring diagrams and running wires. I also had to source a few connectors but I was able to make a harness that made the whole thing essentially plug and play.

If you are thinking about swapping your jbl nav unit I might interested in buying it from you. I'm actually looking for another 2013 non-jbl/non-nav touch screen as well if anyone who swapped theres for the nav unit wants to sell it.

If I were to install one of these into a 2009 NON JBL would I need to buy steering wheel controls to get blue tooth to work?

I don't believe so. The blue tooth setup and phone pairing is done on the radio not using any steering wheel controls.

One last question. I bought the Sirius radio adapters for the 09. If I hook them up with this 14 version would it pick up Sirius or XM?

No. The BT works off the mic plugged into the 20-28 pin adapter harness.

This harness will let you add the wheel controls if you do plan on it though.

Anyone got any spare VIN I can try? Never mind. I found a VIN that works so I got my phone set up with an android port of entune, got the app installed and the phone connects via Bluetooth, but the entune app doesn't connect. Sigh.
