Can I buy a hood liner from the dealership? Like do they make them for the 2020, they just don’t come with the trucks anymore?

From the looks of the engine bay, this doesn't look like a show truck. So I wouldn't worry too much about the paint under the hood... :D

In my case the outer fabric layer was peeled off because it had already separated in several spots. This left a surface of essentially fiberglass mat, very porous. Spraying it on and smoothing the imperfections took a few minutes to develop the knack. About the same as a fiberglass lay up job but trying to lay the goop on the surface as opposed to working it in and saturating the mat. IIRC it was two cans. Given the cost it shouldn't be a problem to start with one and get another if needed.
NAPA had the 3M as well as Auto zone, back then.

That was my main concern, but obviously others have none and have no problems

    i do find it odd
the only 1st gen pics with bad hood paint i've seen to be ones in the southern heat AZ TX CA, FL etc.
and perhaps the peeling paint issues of 01-04 models that i don't know much about

I’m going to try this route before mine goes south.

It looks like it comes in a spray can and possibly a brush setup.

Did you use a spray can or just the brush route or spray can and then brush?
