    Hey all,
I'm having a couple issues with factory car alarm on my 2003 Tacoma Crew Cab. Almost 2 years ago my car alarm went off in the middle of the night for absolutely no reason. Only way I could get it to stop was to disconnect the battery. Luckily, it hasn't happened since. Now, I'm having a new issue. Every time I open/close the door, I heard 2 "thunk" noises like my door locks are actuating twice. I've watched the locks and they aren't moving, it just sounds like they are. An inconvenience, I know, but still annoying. In addition to this, now, at random times, my alarm will go off when I open the unlocked door with the alarm unarmed. For this one, I can get the alarm to shut off by simply starting the truck. The door lock sounds and alarm going off when opening the unlocked door (with the alarm unarmed) seem to be related because they both started happening at the same time. Does anyone know how to fix either of these issues? Please help. Thanks!

SO, if the alarm is truly oem, it was dealer installed, and can be reversed. Sounds like the module may be faulty, however I am not to up on the rs3200 alarm. Hopefully that atleast gets you a starting point?

@mechanicjon I think has had to deal with them on occasion?

Are you sure it's the factory installed RS3200 alarm system? If so sounds like your module went bad. Maybe a grounding issue or something like that. You'd be surprised how weird electrical circuits start acting without a good ground.

I have zero experience with the dealer/factory alarms. FSM doesn't have a wiring diagram. I know the keyless entry system a little but not the alarm. Check for grounds and the drivers door latch key switch.
