RealTruck has 20% off Husky Weatherbeaters right now, but my local Toyota dealer has the OEM all weather mats in stock for about $8 more. How are the OEMs compared to Huskys? I don't want anything that feels hard and plastic-y.

Mods? We don't need no stinking mods.
The OEM all-weather mats are pretty comfy as far as rubber mats go.

Much nicer than the OEM all-weather mats in my Subaru Crosstrek.

If you prefer soft mats, oem is better, I'm not super happy with my rav4 oem weather set, but I prefered them to the weathertechs I had in my tacoma that was rock hard.

What don't you like about the Rav4 mats?

They faded quickly and are almost too soft they dont really hold their shape that well. Hind sight I wouldnt have bought them for the rav and just used the factory rubber mats.

Husky Weatherbeaters are indestructible. They're thicker than OEM, and the sides are taller as well.

5 years of boot heels - no tears.

I dug up an older thread here of someone else asking the same question and the general consensus was that the OEMs don't hold up. Based on that and the input here I'm going with the Huskys.

You'll like them. I bought mine weeks before I took delivery of the truck. Ordered it "floormat delete" and saved almost $300.

Showed up on delivery day carrying my checkbook and the driver's side floor mat.

The Husky’s are way better. I held off on them as I got the all weather with my truck but ended up not liking the coverage. Really glad I upgraded to the Husky’s.

    I don't know ....
Have had the OEM mat in my '06 TRD OR since new. Hauled a lot of 'stuff' in the truck and there's no sign of tears, cuts, etc. Got my '21 TRD OR with OEM mats. Wouldn't even think of considering anything but. The surface texture helps keeps things from slipping around from turn, stops & accelerating. Some things will migrate towards the front over a long bumpy ride, but no instant slides in any direction. I actually had to get a set of the hard plastic furniture slides to get my tool box & generator into the bed.
My vote is (obviously) for OEM.

Are you talking about the floor mats or the bed mat? I got the OEM bed mat and I absolutely love it. It does all of the things you're describing. When I put things in the bed, most of the time I don't worry that they're going to go anywhere while I drive around.

I got OEM from factory and wished I didn't to get the husky. The higher side walls are the seller for me.

My OEM mats wore through in about a year. I ended up with Husky. They are GTG.

I like the OE all weather mats as they are soft. Nicer for driving manual. If you choose something else I would recommend Husky. They seem to have better fitment than WeatherTech, At least it did in my Titan and the wife's Equinox.

I had WT and they were hard, slippery, and ill fitting.
I got Xact Huskys which are softer, stay in one place, and the fit is excellent.

My OEM weather mats lasted about three years. I wore out a hole with my heel on driver side o, of course I found that out when it started leaking muddy water on my carpet... I have Husky front mats now (kept rear oem) . They are a little stiffer than OEM, but also provide better coverage preventing dirt, mud and whatnot from hitting the carpet

I guess I misunderstood what this thread was about.
I'm referring to the BED mat, not the cab FLOOR mats. For that I have the OEM "all-weather" mats (didn't want them but they got thrown into the deal somehow). Those mats are just okay. They really don't cover the edge gap between the door sill and mat edge so a lot of dirt gets into the carpet along the side. I do have a set of WeatherTech mats but haven't gotten around to swapping them out.

I had husky floor liners in my old Liberty CRD. 11 years and they still looked good, no holes. I have the OEM all weather mats in my Tacoma because they came with included on the window sticker. I would say both are fine but I think the Husky products will out last the OEM mats but I could be wrong.
I will definitely buy Husky weather beater if the OEM ones need replaced.

Husky's for the interior and OEM for the bed. I have a front pair of Husky x-act's I have to sell because they don't fit in my manual but I have to wait for 50 posts before listing in TW's classifieds :bananadead:
