I REALLY wish I had known this was an option.

I like my OEM rubber mats a lot. Do a great job of protecting carpet from any dirt/mud/water and after 2 years 7 months and 24,000 miles still look almost new.

Mine too. Not even a mark really in 4 years. I wonder if Toyota has improved them at some point.

In my opinion, it just depends on the kind you plan to get. I have the OEM and love them. I know Weather Tech and Husky are better in terms of coverage, but each option gets the job done. The OEM just covers a little less of the floor, but it does say "Tacoma." I've had Weather Tech in the past as well and do prefer them to OEM. However, I haven't had the need to switch.

For $40 more, Husky/WeatherTech owners can rebadge their mats with whatever they like!

There's a vendor selling custom TRD/Tacoma/etc emblems for floormats on here somewhere. I don't care to search for/link it.

I only have one data point as the OEM all weather mats came with my 2019 Taco, but they have been rock solid so far. And my 2007 FJ Cruiser came with the OEM all weather mats as well and they are going on 14 years old and still doing their job! And I never cared for the Weather-Tech ones; they feel hard and can be pretty slick when wet.

My truck come with factory rubber mats.
After ordering the Husky X-Act Fit, had I the opportunity before, to see both stock and Husky, side-by-side, I would have kept the stock mats and put the money elsewhere!!!

IMHO, Husky needs to make their "Diamond" model for the 3rd Gens.

If my 3rd gen didn't come with the OEM rubber mats, I would have gotten the Husky X-Act mats like I had in my 2nd gen, but the OEM mats are maybe 95% as good as the Huskys, which have a little more coverage in the door sill area. If you have no mats I'd personally go for the Husky X-Act, but the OEM ones are pretty good. Husky rubber might be a little bit thicker too, IIRC. Might be wrong on that.

I don't personally care for the harder Weather Tech mats, I like the softer rubber of the Husky or OEM mats.

I just remembered I still have my 2nd gen Husky mats in the garage, need to put them in the classifieds and move them on to somebody who can get some use out of them. Too bad the retainers are in a different spot on the 3rd gen, the mats are mint.

I agree, in that the Weather Tech and Husky cover a little more, but to your point I don't see where you need too. As the OEMs seem to cover/protect the areas that need protecting. At least for me they do.

Yes and no. As I said, I haven't needed to change them out yet. However, if this winter was more aggressive than it was, I'd definitely see it. It's not uncommon for water and ice to get onto the floor just from getting in and out, even after banging off your boots.

I saw a guy on the forums here earlier today. Ships from Hawaii. However, it looks like he's only selling TRD badges and mine's just an SR5. I DMed him. Waiting for a response.

I would not recommend the Weatherbeaters. I had the X-Act Contours in my 2nd gen and they were great. Got the beaters for my 3rd gen since that’s all they make for the 6MT, and while the coverage is great, they are literally just hard, slippery plastic tubs. I just didn’t like the feel at all. Got the OEM all weather mats and the coverage is less, but they’re a nice soft rubber.
