They have that option. When selecting your speaker option, choose "Optimize factory JBL speakers."

@ktbell444 yes they do for $1799 that’s just not practical for most and for that price you get no speakers and still using your factory sub. Again not knocking this system. Just wish they had also given us the option for an enhanced version like the 4Runner

I have the total system in my access 2017 that just had the standard stereo system. Customer service was great, even got a response and help on a Sunday afternoon during my install. Overall the system sounds 10x better than factory but I had questions after install that I never had answered. This was a disappointment to me. Overall the plug and play feature with no butchered wires is great. But why hardly any sound from access cab rear speakers and occasional popping from tweets? I suggest more research for those thinking about dropping this much coin.

@Viper1092 I see what you're saying. They did change things up, but maybe there's a reason they moved away from that. Looks like what comes in the equivalent kit is much different than what the 4Runner is offered.

That's (low volume in rear) a complaint I hear coming from others on stock system as well. Could possibly be something OEMAudio+ can't do much about? I'm making an assumption of course. Popping from tweeters though, that I'm unsure of.

I have a much cheaper solution. I’ll turn the knob on left clockwise or if I’m lazy click the volume button on steering wheel. Tuning a sound system for $1800+ tax..... that’s just insanely overpriced. Ovtune was $700.

This price inflation is like paying $500 to optimize the hvac system in your home which could save you even more in the long run vs paying $3900 to ‘optimize’ the color of the light the windows let in. Waaaaaayyyyyyyyy overpriced sale for so minimal value.

Now.....drop price to 99 and under for the audio ‘enhancements’ or fine tuning whatever they do without replacing or adding a single piece of hardware..... that would very likely sell so much quantity that it makes even more profit.

Wonder if ovtune had his initial flash kit up for sale for 2000 or sold it for 700. Sure, small amounts of extremely insane auto enthusiasts would still pay the tune price but thousands would buy the reasonably affordable option.

Yes popping from tweets only near max like above 45. And it may have been (most likely) the option to leave the factory rear door speakers. Why upgrade them if not going to power them up as well?

As I read it, the description said they made provisions for the factory amplifier (they even show a picture of the factory amp still mounted next to their new sub, which I read to be that it remains inline with the rest of the new components of what they are selling. I was hoping to regain that space behind the seat. Hopefully I am misunderstanding what their install looks like. Maybe they can post a wiring diagram of the different options.

I had popping in my speakers, and they had to send me a new firmware to update my amplifier, and it sounded much better after.
I also agree about the rear speakers not doing much. to be truthful the stock ones didn't do much either. Nor did they in my 2011.

Thank you for the insight. I should try and contact them again regarding the popping noise near max volume. It's not like I listen to it that loud very often but occasionally...some favorites in the right mood just require ito_O

Yes, the factory amp has to remain for a lot of reasons besides the stereo signal amplification. That's been the whole rub with upgrading the JBL system up until now. You could always pull sub signal from the wires at the output side of the amp, run them to a good LOC, then to decent amp, and replace the odd-sized sub with a good quality 8". I did that in my 2015 and to be honest, it sounds pretty damn good and has really good, tight bass response.... to a point. The problem with pulling signal there is that it distorts at a relatively low volume (subjectively speaking - I like loud).

However, as I understand it from Daniel, the new system release maintains the JBL amp for the other functionality reasons and not the amplification. The new system has a separate amp for your stereo speakers and an additional sub amp if you select that option. Both will pull signal directly from the head unit and not from any post-amplified signal wires. This should clean things up a ton and allow for amplification of a clean signal instead of a "much dirtier" one that you'd get from tapping at the factory amp. The new system has an "interface" after the factory HU that allows signal to go to the new amp(s). That's probably the secret sauce in all of it. This setup should allow for good clean sound at any comparable level and also allow you to reach much higher volumes while still playing clean and without distortion.

The price is steeeeeeeep!!!! Is it worth it? That's a loaded question.

I was going to install the exact same setup I have in my 2015 (RF 8" sub in original Toyota enclosure, RF amp, LC2i) in my new 2020 Pro. It would probably satisfy 95% of us and at a much cheaper price point. So, what to do?

To me, I decided to go ahead and pull the trigger on a full setup for my new truck. 3 year warranty and I'm sure it will be the best option outside of a full gut job. OEM+ does offer a military/LE discount if you ask. Saved me $100.

By the way, anyone interested in a new in the box RF 8", amp, and LC2i? :)

I have an aftermarket HU (iLX-F309TCM). I wonder if this affects anything regarding plug and play? The HU I installed was all plug and play after swapping out the JBL HU. Sorry, not too knowledgeable on this topic but am interested in better sound.

I’m not sure but the system is built around the OEM HU.

I was considering this if it was around a 1200-1500 price point. This seems ridiculous. I’m gonna just build my own custom system at this point.

It'll be worth it. I agree, the price is steep, but I'm sure the system will be excellent. I've been extraordinarily happy with mine for the last 3 years (dual sub for non-JBL)
